Welcome to my professional portfolio. I am an artist dedicated to bringing imagination to life through intricate sculptures and fine canvas paintings. Blending passion with education, I continuously work on contemporary art while guiding the next generation of creative minds.
Born in the historic city of Anuradhapura and raised in the scenic area of Galenbindunuwewa, my affinity for visual expression began early in life. My childhood years spent in Matale further enriched my creative perspective, surrounding me with diverse traditional arts and cultural heritage.
After successfully completing my Ordinary Levels and Advanced Levels, I pursued my deep passion for fine arts by enrolling at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts in Sri Lanka. There, I specialized in Sculpture, refining my technical skills in clay molding, structure creation, and contemporary three-dimensional arts.
Driven by a desire to share the beauty of art with the younger generation, I entered the field of education and received my official government teaching appointment in 2011. Since then, I have been balancing my career as a professional art educator with my personal creative practice, constantly working on new artwork and exhibitions.

Idea: In simple social concepts, the heart is fundamental to the qualities and emotions of society. Through this metaphor, the emotional intelligence of femininity is attempted to be represented through the medium of stone and metal, clashing with the heart and brain. A woman is a person who has unlimited endurance, who endures sorrow and joy and enters various roles in life.

In my contemporary society, the lives of journalists have become a state of danger and a victim of violence. Recent events and tragic deaths have caused me great shock. I had to express this shock through a sculptural expression. I am trying to recreate the upper body of a human figure with cruel torture and pressure, which has become a fate and a conflict in the profession of journalists and their lives. Here, the pen, a well-known symbol of the art of writing, is moving through three-dimensional shapes with these human figures.
